How CrudeDesk uses cookies and similar technologies

Effective Date: April 10, 2026
Last Updated: April 10, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Pivoten LLC ("Pivoten," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you access or use the CrudeDesk platform ("Platform"). This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which provides broader context on how we handle your personal information.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website or use a web application. They allow the Platform to recognize your device, maintain your session, remember your preferences, and understand how you interact with our services.

In addition to traditional browser cookies, we may use similar technologies such as:

  • Local storage: Browser-based storage used to persist application state across sessions without expiring automatically.
  • Session storage: Temporary browser storage that is cleared when the browser tab or window is closed.
  • Pixel tags / web beacons: Small image files embedded in emails that help us confirm whether an email was opened and whether links were clicked.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

2.1 Essential Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the Platform to function. Without them, core features such as logging in, maintaining your session, and navigating between pages would not work. Because these cookies are required for the Platform to operate, they cannot be disabled.

sb-access-tokenStores your authentication session token issued by Supabase Auth. Required to keep you logged in across page loads.Session / up to 1 hour (refreshed automatically)

Next.js internal cookiesUsed by the Next.js framework for routing, middleware state, and locale detection.Session

2.2 Functional Cookies

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization. They remember choices you have made (such as language or display preferences) so that we can provide a more tailored experience. Disabling these cookies may affect certain non-essential features of the Platform.

Cookie / KeyPurposeDuration
i18n-localeStores your selected language and locale preference so the Platform displays in the correct language on subsequent visits.1 year
themeRemembers your UI display preference (light or dark mode) so the Platform renders your preferred theme on return visits.1 year
Sidebar / layout stateStores UI layout preferences such as sidebar collapse state to preserve your workspace configuration between sessions.Session / local storage

2.3 Analytics Cookies

We use analytics technologies to understand how users interact with the Platform. This information helps us improve the Platform's usability, performance, and feature set. Analytics data is collected in aggregate and is not used to identify individual users for marketing purposes.

Analytics may track information such as pages visited, time spent on each page, feature interactions, error occurrences, and navigation paths. Where third-party analytics tools are used, they are configured to anonymize IP addresses and minimize personal data collection.

You may opt out of analytics tracking by adjusting your browser settings to block cookies or by using a browser extension that honors the Do Not Track (DNT) signal. Note that opting out of analytics does not affect your ability to use the Platform.

2.4 No Advertising or Tracking Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or behavioral profiling cookies. We do not share your browsing data with advertising networks, and we do not display targeted advertisements within the Platform. CrudeDesk is a business operations tool, not an advertising-supported product.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some third-party services integrated into the Platform may set their own cookies. These are subject to the respective third-party's cookie and privacy policies, not this policy. Current third-party services that may set cookies include:

  • Stripe: When you access billing or subscription management pages, Stripe may set cookies to enable secure payment processing and fraud prevention. See the Stripe Privacy Policy for details.

We periodically review third-party integrations and update this policy if new services that set cookies are added.

4. How to Manage Cookies

You have several options for controlling or limiting how cookies are used on your device:

4.1 Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies through your browser settings. Instructions for common browsers:

  • Google Chrome:Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox:Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Apple Safari:Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge:Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

Please note that blocking all cookies, including essential cookies, will prevent you from logging into or using the CrudeDesk Platform. We recommend allowing essential cookies at a minimum for the Platform to function correctly.

4.2 Mobile Devices

If you access CrudeDesk via a mobile browser, your device's operating system may offer controls for limiting ad tracking or resetting advertising identifiers. These controls are typically found in your device's Privacy settings. Note that these controls do not affect session cookies used for authentication within the Platform.

4.3 Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" signal to websites. We honor this signal by limiting analytics data collection where technically feasible. However, Do Not Track signals do not affect essential or functional cookies required for Platform operation.

5. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect changes in our technology stack, third-party integrations, or applicable legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies.

For material changes that affect your rights or the types of cookies we use, we will provide notice via email or an in-app notification prior to the changes taking effect.
